Senior Graphic Designer

Full-timeOn-site
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior role managing other designers.
  • Mastery of Craft: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage creative workflows, meet deadlines, and mentor junior talent.
  • Tool Proficiency: Mastery of Google Workspace for documentation and collaboration.

The Senior Designer is the Guardian of Visual Strategy and Team Mentorship. In this role, you are responsible for the high-level aesthetic direction for MKYCOMM’s global clients and, crucially, for the management and growth of the design team. You lead the transformation of strategies into iconic visual systems while ensuring that Mid-Level and Junior designers are supported, mentored, and aligned with our standards of Safety, Progress, and Sustainability. You are the bridge between the Creative Executive’s vision and the design team’s daily output.

1. Team Management & Mentorship (Primary Pillar)

  • Direct Supervision: Manage the daily workflow and output of Mid-Level and Junior Designers, ensuring tasks are assigned based on skill level and development goals.
  • Skill Development: Act as a dedicated mentor, conducting regular portfolio reviews and providing "Deep and Deliberate" feedback to help junior staff master their craft.
  • Resource Planning: Work with the MD and Operations team to identify capacity issues within the design department and assist in the recruitment/onboarding of new talent.
  • Collaboration Leadership: Foster a culture of "Warmth and Safety" where designers feel comfortable taking creative risks while adhering to agency standards.

2. Visual Strategy & Conceptualization

  • Identity Architecture: Lead the creation of complex brand identities and visual systems that solve high-level business problems for "Medium and Up" clients.
  • Brief-to-System Conversion: Translate the Internal Master Brief into high-fidelity design frameworks that the Mid and Junior tiers can then execute across various platforms.
  • Complex Deliverables: Personally handle the most strategically sensitive or technically difficult design projects (e.g., investor decks, complex UI frameworks, or global rebrands).

3. Operational Safety & Quality Control

  • Final Visual Gatekeeper: You are responsible for the final "Safety Check" on all design work. Nothing leaves the department without your approval for brand accuracy and technical quality.
  • Design SOP Ownership: Build and enforce internal SOPs for file management, version control, and template creation to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Consistency Monitoring: Ensure all team members are strictly adhering to client brand guidelines across all digital and physical touchpoints.
